Kevin Durant Becomes 8th Player in NBA History to Reach 30,000 Points

The Suns’ star joins an elite club with legends like LeBron, Jordan, and Kareem

Kevin Durant has reached an iconic milestone, becoming the eighth player in NBA history to surpass 30,000 career points. The achievement came via a free throw during the third quarter of the Phoenix Suns’ 119-112 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.

At 36 years old, Durant joins the ranks of LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki, and Wilt Chamberlain.

“It’s a true honor to be in the same category as those players who shaped the game,” said Durant.

Averaging 27 points per game this season with 52% shooting, Durant remains one of the league’s premier scorers.
