Nikola Jokic and Serbia defeated France and new captain Victor Wembanyama in a thrilling friendly at Belgrade Arena.
Serbia prevailed 90-87, with the Denver Nuggets big man leading the hosts to victory in front of around 20,000 fans. Jokic finished with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 10 fouls drawn.
Wembanyama provided one of the highlights of the game with a spectacular windmill dunk, but the San Antonio Spurs superstar finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks and 6 turnovers.

For Serbia, Nikola Milutinov added 15 points and 5 rebounds, while Aleksa Avramovic posted 13 points, 5 assists and 3 steals, although he also committed six turnovers. Marko Guduric contributed 9 points, 3 assists and 4 fouls drawn.
France relied heavily on three-point shooting, but it was not enough. Sylvain Francisco finished with 13 points, 3 assists and 3 steals, while Amine Noua added 14 points and 5 rebounds on 6-of-9 shooting from the field.
The two teams will meet again in another friendly on August 22.
