19-year-old Italian prospect Luigi Suigo has yet to decide whether to declare for the upcoming NBA Draft or pursue the increasingly lucrative route of college basketball.
Currently projected as an early second-round pick, Suigo is drawing strong interest from several top NCAA programs. Among the offers already received are Illinois Fighting Illini and Purdue Boilermakers—both already visited by the player—as well as Indiana Hoosiers. Other potential destinations include St. John’s Red Storm—where he would join Quinn Ellis—along with Duke Blue Devils and BYU Cougars.
BYU, in particular, has recently brought highly touted guard Rob Wright back into the fold and is reportedly ready to make a significant investment to add a high-level center.
Suigo is still focused on finishing the season with KK Mega Basket, where he is averaging 9.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1 block in 19 minutes per game in the ABA League.
