According to information gathered by our own Alessandro Maggi, Quinn Ellis is set to earn a NIL deal worth between $4.5 and $4.8 million to play at St. John’s the 2026/27 season.
This is an extremely high figure, even by College Basketball standards—although a recent study points to a 65% increase compared to last year’s NIL market.
There are no official figures for every player, but several media outlets estimated that the richest NIL deal in 2025/26 was around $4.2 million, received by top NBA prospect AJ Dybantsa.
Ellis will undoubtedly be one of the leaders of the group coached by Rick Pitino. The decisive factor was a late push from St. John’s, with Duke ultimately choosing not to match the offer.
The 23-year-old point guard will return to Olimpia Milan—who still hold his European rights—after the conclusion of the 2027 March Madness tournament.
