A bizarre story, to say the least, in Milwaukee. Giannis Antetokounmpo rewrote the franchise record by scoring 64 points against Indiana, but at the end of the game the game ball ended up in the Pacers’ locker room.
This infuriates Giannis, who decides to take justice into his own hands by reaching the opponents’ locker room. It was then the Bucks’ security who retrieved the match ball and handed it over to its rightful owner, the Bucks star.
Pacers coach Rick Carlisle on why the team tried to keep the game ball: “It was Oscar Tshiebwe’s first official NBA point…We were not thinking about Giannis’ franchise [64-point] record.” He also says a Bucks player elbowed their GM in the ribs. pic.twitter.com/iknKLN4l0w

In the press room, the coach of the Indiana Pacers reconstructed the facts: ‘It was the first official basket in the NBA for our Oscar Tshiebwe. We didn’t think about Giannis’ record.”
But Rick Carlisle revealed even more: “A couple minutes later, some of their players ended up in our hallway and there was a big, I don’t know what to call it … scuffle. I don’t think there were any punches, but my GM got elbowed in the ribs by one of their players.”
There was also a brief exchange of banter during the game involving several players.
Antetokounmpo was tackled by Aaron Nesmith on a play under the basket with 10:10 to go, starting the confrontation. Nesmith was whistled for a flagrant-1, while Bobby Portis of the Bucks was given technical fouls.
