Germany lives up to expectations, stellar offense downs Finland 98–86 to reach the final

Germany is the first finalist at EuroBasket 2025, thanks to a convincing 98–86 win over Finland, earning their third appearance in a gold medal game after 1993 (won) and 2005 (lost).

The reigning world champions delivered yet another offensively flawless performance (their 7th game scoring over 90), putting up 61 points by halftime and building a lead as large as +19 during the game. They finished with 14 three-pointers, 23 assists, and five players in double figures.

Wagner and Schroder led the charge, while Finland’s run ends in the semifinals despite a strong tournament. Markkanen struggled with 6-of-17 shooting, but the team can still dream of a possible bronze medal.
