Spain took a big risk against Slovakia in the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers, but Sergio Scariolo’s team won 72-76 after two overtimes. Santi Yusta came to the rescue, stealing the ball with 0.4 seconds left in the first overtime and hitting a three-pointer to seal the win in the second.
The win improved Spain’s record to one win and two losses, while Slovakia remained bottom of the standings with zero wins from three games.
Slovakia were led by Brodziansky’s 23 points and 10 rebounds, Krajcovic’s 19 points and Ihring’s 13 points and 10 assists.
Spain had 21 points and 10 rebounds from Santi Yusta, 13 from Guerra and 12 from Salvo.
