Cleveland has reportedly identified the 2027-28 season as a potential target for bringing Saliou Niang to the NBA.

The Cleveland Cavaliers already have a potential timeline in mind for Saliou Niang’s NBA arrival. According to Chris Fedor, the franchise has always viewed the 2027-28 season as a possible opportunity to bring the young prospect to the NBA.

Cleveland selected Niang with the No. 58 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, opting to invest in his potential and give him time to continue developing before making the move to the United States.

The Cavaliers’ plan, therefore, appears to be allowing Niang the necessary time to complete his development before considering a permanent move to the NBA. The 2027-28 season could be the window identified by the franchise for him to take that next step.
