Cody Demps completes the Dole Rimini roster
Dole Rimini have officially announced the signing of Cody Demps, the American wing born in 1993 who completes the Italian club’s roster. Standing 195 cm tall and weighing 88 kg, Demps is an athletic, physical and highly versatile player.
The American can play multiple positions on the perimeter, from shooting guard to both wing spots, while also being capable of handling point guard duties thanks to his ability to facilitate for his teammates. He also brings the ability to attack the basket, shoot from mid-range and beyond the arc, and contribute on the boards.
Cody Demps’ career in the NCAA and G League
Born on December 2, 1993, in Elk Grove, California, Demps completed his high school career at Pleasant Grove before playing college basketball for the Sacramento State Hornets.
He progressively improved his production throughout his four years in the NCAA, finishing his final season with averages of 12 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.
Demps began his professional career in 2016 with the Reno Bighorns in the G League. He remained with the franchise following its move to Stockton and enjoyed a particularly strong 2019-20 season, averaging 14.3 points and 5 rebounds per game.
His performances earned him an opportunity with the Sacramento Kings in the NBA.
Cody Demps arrives in Rimini after European experience
Demps later joined the G League Ignite, where he also served as a mentor for some of the most promising young prospects in American basketball.
In 2021, he moved to Europe and joined Hapoel Beer Sheva in Israel. During his first European season, he averaged 15.3 points per game.
In 2024-25, he played for Elitzur Netanya, averaging 10.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game while shooting 44% from three-point range.
Last season, Demps returned to Hapoel Beer Sheva and averaged 14 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 45% from the field. He scored at least 20 points in four games, including 27 points against Bnei Herzliya and 20 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists against Hapoel Tel Aviv.
Cody Demps also has Team USA experience
Demps’ career also includes experience in several major Asian leagues and with the United States national team.
The California native represented Team USA during the qualifying campaign for the 2023 FIBA World Cup, helping the national team reach the global competition.

Dole Rimini general manager Renato Nicolai commented on Demps’ signing:
“It was a quick negotiation: Cody had offers from the Italian Serie A and other top European leagues. He chose Rimini because he firmly believes in the potential of the club and the team.”
Nicolai added: “We are convinced that we have brought a player above this level to Rimini, someone who will fit perfectly into our group and excite our fans.”
Cody Demps will wear No. 93 for Dole Rimini.
