Bundesliga, that is set to resume soon, said that political statements, in wake of what is happening in USA following the death of George Floyd, won’t be allowed.
Per BIG, “Political statements or similar protests campaigns against racism, as it has recently happened in football, are not permitted in the easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga, BBL Managing Director Stefan Holz told the German Press Agency.
“We play sports and there are no political statements in any direction, so we do not open the door,” says Holz, but restricts: “Nevertheless, we would understand USA players make something.”
Per Gunther said that he is ready to pay fines for 10.000 euro.
