Bruno Caboclo, at the center of one of the most bizarre stories in European basketball this summer, spoke about his career and future plans in an interview with the Israeli sports channel Sport 5. The player, who joined Maccabi Ra’anana for a series of games against NBA teams, made this move after missing Venezia’s training camp, with whom he had signed at the beginning of the summer.
“The decision to join Ra’anana was a last-minute one,” Caboclo said, “I changed agents, and many things changed for me. When this opportunity arose, I thought of seizing it. I’m here, and I’m enjoying myself.”
Regarding his situation with Venezia, he said, “I was supposed to go there; my previous agent had signed a contract for me at an early stage, but I believe my performances can take me higher. Nothing against Venezia, but this is my career. There are people who won’t understand this decision, but this is my career.”
“Maccabi Tel Aviv is a great team,” he commented on the yellows, “I have never received an offer from them, if I receive one, and it is appropriate at that time, I will be happy to play there. The EuroLeague is a great league, if it happens with Maccabi Tel Aviv, I will be ready, and I will do my best.”
