Kosner Baskonia have announced the signing of Jesse Edwards through the end of the season. The 2.13m Dutch big man is set to arrive in Vitoria-Gasteiz “in the coming days” to link up with Paolo Galbiati’s squad.
Edwards (Amsterdam, 2000) comes from Melbourne United in Australia’s NBL, where he averaged 13.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 18.2 PIR across 32 games this season. Last year he played for the Iowa Wolves in the G League, after developing at Syracuse in the NCAA.
With the move, Baskonia add size and physicality to their interior rotation for the final stretch of the campaign. “Ongi etorri, Jesse!”, the club wrote in its announcement.
The player’s agent, Wasserman’s Vice President of International Basketball Sead Galijasevic, also announced the transfer.
