AEK Athens is looking to strengthen its backcourt and has opened talks to try to sign Thomas Heurtel, as reported by SDNA.

The two sides are already negotiating, but no agreement has been reached yet. AEK and Heurtel have reportedly not found an agreement on financial terms, while the 37-year-old French guard is said to be open to a move to the Greek club.

Head coach Dragan Šakota’s team is trying to convince the veteran guard, whose experience could provide valuable solutions for AEK.

Heurtel brings EuroLeague experience

Heurtel has extensive experience at the highest level of European basketball and also played in the EuroLeague last season with LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne.

He averaged 9.2 points and 5.4 assists per game for the French club.
