Adelaide 36ers part ways with Harrell after doping violation

The Adelaide 36ers have cut ties with Montrezl Harrell. The former NBA Sixth Man of the Year tested positive for doping during the summer while playing in China, leading the Australian club to terminate his deal. Harrell, 31, was absent in the matchup against Panathinaikos AKTOR at the “Pavlos Giannakopoulos” tournament in Sydney. Last NBL season, he averaged 20.5 points and 9.3 rebounds, earning a spot in the league’s Second Team.
