Olimpia Milan, Poeta: “Defensive transition will be crucial against Shorts and Brooks”

Olimpia Milan hosts Valencia at Unipol Forum in EuroLeague Round 10, with Peppe Poeta identifying defensive transition as the main tactical key.

“We’re facing a team with a very clear identity,” Poeta said. “It will be important for us to build our game on defensive transition to try to contain TJ Shorts and Armoni Brooks, the two players who generate most of Valencia’s offensive production.”

Darius Thompson stressed the need for consistency over 40 minutes: “The EuroLeague is extremely tough and you can’t afford any letdowns. When we lost, it happened because we had five, six or seven difficult minutes that we paid dearly for. We need to improve in this regard.”
