The Oklahoma City Thunder have declined Nikola Topic’s $7.4 million option for next season. The decision will make the Serbian guard a pending unrestricted free agent. Topic, the No. 12 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, has appeared in only 10 NBA games over three seasons.

He is still recovering from back surgery performed this summer and currently has no timetable to return. Topic missed his entire rookie season because of a knee injury and then most of last season after being diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Oklahoma City did exercise the contract options on Jared McCain and Thomas Sorber.
