New York Knicks’ Jose Alvarado to miss fourth straight game with ankle injury

Jose Alvarado will miss his fourth straight game because of a right ankle injury and will be unavailable against Philadelphia

Jose Alvarado will miss the New York Knicks’ NBA Cup game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The reserve guard will sit out his fourth straight game because of a right ankle injury.

Alvarado has not played since last Friday in Boston, when he logged 10 minutes. Knicks coach Mike Brown has not suggested that the issue is expected to become a long-term concern.

In his absence, Tyler Kolek has stepped up nicely, recording 21 assists without a single turnover over the past three games.
