Luka Doncic is currently in Slovenia to host a private Los Angeles Lakers minicamp, but he has yet to contact the national team players preparing for the 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifiers.
“No, he did not speak to us. He has his obligations. We leave him alone, and he leaves us alone,” Alen Omic told Ekipa, as reported by BasketNews. “I hope this all ends as soon as possible so he can come and help the national team.”
Doncic opted out of this summer’s qualifying windows to spend more time with his daughters. Meanwhile, the Lakers minicamp features workouts, team-bonding activities and several events organized by Doncic to improve the new roster’s chemistry.
