Baskonia is in advanced negotiations to sign Damion Baugh, according to Chema De Lucas.
The 25-year-old combo guard is coming off a season split between the G League, where he averaged 22.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2.1 steals in 34 games with the Valley Suns, and brief stints in the CEBL and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). In the BAL, Baugh became the first player in league history to record a triple-double and also set the competition’s single-game assist record with 18.
The previous season, Baugh appeared in 15 NBA games as a Two-Way player with the Charlotte Hornets, averaging 7.3 points, 3.7 assists, and 1 steal per game.
If the deal is completed, it would mark the TCU product’s first experience in European basketball.
