Brandon Davies has announced his retirement from professional basketball at the age of 34. Japanese club Alvark Tokyo confirmed the decision, with the two sides agreeing to terminate his contract for the 2026/27 season after the player’s request.
“This is a very sudden announcement, but after much thought, I have decided to retire from professional basketball,” Davies said. In his only B.League season, he averaged 13.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks over 23 regular-season appearances.
Davies ends a career that included NBA experience and stops with Zalgiris Kaunas, Barcelona, Olimpia Milano, Valencia and Partizan. Across eight EuroLeague seasons, he played 263 games and averaged 10.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists, earning All-EuroLeague honors and winning several domestic titles, including the Italian championship with Milano in 2023.
