Olympiacos has officially announced the extension of head coach Georgios Bartzokas’ contract for an additional three years, keeping him at the helm of the Greek powerhouse through 2029.
In its statement, the club emphasized that continuity and commitment to a long-term vision remain central pillars of its philosophy, describing Bartzokas as much more than a coach and crediting him as one of the key architects of the team’s identity.
Bartzokas has enjoyed remarkable success with Olympiacos, winning two EuroLeague titles (2013 and 2026), one FIBA Intercontinental Cup, four Greek League championships, three Greek Cups, and four Greek Super Cups, making him the most decorated coach in the club’s history.
Club presidents Panagiotis and Georgios Angelopoulos also praised the agreement, describing it as the continuation of a shared journey that transcends contracts and has already secured a permanent place in Olympiacos history.
The executives highlighted the team’s recent EuroLeague and Greek League triumphs as the result of years of dedication, consistency, and a shared vision, while reaffirming their complete trust in Bartzokas’ leadership.
“Olympiacos was not born to follow others, but to create its own path to the top,” the presidents stated, expressing confidence that the club will continue competing for the highest honors under Bartzokas’ guidance.
