Isaïa Cordinier underwent surgery today in France, Anadolu Efes officially announced.
The Turkish club said the operation was successful. Team doctor Uğur Diliçıkık stated that the player is expected to be sidelined for around four months.
Cordinier will now begin a long recovery process before returning to action for Efes.
It is a significant absence for the Turkish club, which will be without the French guard during the first part of the next work cycle.
The Anadolu Efes star responded to the constant criticism over the length of the season, the number of games and the amount of travel.
The Turkish side adds scoring and experience to its perimeter with the 31-year-old guard, coming off an impressive season with SIG Strasbourg.
