Giannis Antetokounmpo to stay with Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks have told teams they’ve pulled Giannis Antetokounmpo off the trade block and will shift focus to other deadline options, as reported Shams Charania.

The Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat and New York Knicks were the most engaged suitors, but alternative moves—Warriors landing Kristaps Porzingis and the Wolves acquiring Ayo Dosunmu—were early signals that a Giannis deal was unlikely.

Milwaukee still hopes to keep him long-term, may reassess in the offseason, and he becomes extension-eligible in October.
