Spain heads to EuroBasket 2025 with a revamped 12-man squad shaped by injuries, but guided by Sergio Scariolo’s philosophy and leadership. The final group features Santi Aldama, Juancho Hernangomez, and Darío Brizuela as key figures, while Alberto Díaz is officially out.
After Spain’s tight 105–106 loss to Germany, Scariolo addressed the situation: “We have to focus on those who are here, not on those who, unfortunately, cannot be.” Spain now faces a demanding Group Phase in Cyprus, taking on Georgia, Bosnia, Cyprus, Italy, and Greece.
“Spain has something extra — intangibles and collective work,” Scariolo added, underlining the team’s identity beyond individual talent.
Final 12-man roster
Guards: Sergio de Larrea, Mario Saint-Supery
Wings/Forwards: Dario Brizuela, Xabi Lopez-Arostegui, Josep Puerto, Santi Yusta, Joel Parra, Juancho Hernangomez
Bigs: Willy Hernangomez, Jaime Pradilla, Yankuba Sima, Santi Aldama
