EuroLeague has confirmed that the average revenues of A-license clubs have reached €19.5 million, exceeding expectations and reinforcing the league’s Financial Fair Play path.
During the EuroLeague Board meeting, topics such as the potential return of games in Israel and NBA expansion were discussed. However, the key announcement was the introduction of the Competitive Balance Standards (CBS), set to take effect in 2025-26.
The new framework will set a minimum salary floor of €5.8 million for A-license clubs, while the Base Remuneration Level has been established at €8 million.
The system will be gradually implemented, with full execution by 2027-28, when the Competitive Balance Compensation mechanism will be introduced to redistribute funds among compliant teams.
