Lo scorso anno la 22enne ala slovena ha prodotto oltre 27 punti (55% FG, 36% 3P, 87% FT), 10 rimbalzi e 3 assist in 8 partite di G League con i Westchester Knicks.
Samanic è stato scelto al n. 19 del Draft NBA 2019.
