EuroLeague Round 1: Olimpia Milano Opens with Road Win Over Crvena Zvezda

Olimpia Milano started its EuroLeague campaign with a strong 92-82 victory over Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade, gifting coach Ettore Messina a perfect present on his 66th birthday.

After leading 45-41 at halftime behind Zach LeDay’s 13 points, Milano held off the hosts in the second half. Marko Guduric provided a spark with back-to-back triples for Milano, then Zach LeDay was dominant down the stretch.

LeDay was the MVP with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 drawn fouls. Josh Nebo added 12 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting, Shavon Shields contributed 13 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists, while Nico Mannion impressed with 9 points and 5 assists.

For Crvena Zvezda, Jordan Nwora posted 19 points and 6 rebounds, Izundu Ebuka delivered 14 points on flawless 7-of-7 shooting inside, and Tyson Carter chipped in 16 points with 2 assists.
