The New Orleans Pelicans announced Tuesday that Zion Williamson has suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain and will be out for at least 7-10 days before being reevaluated.

Williamson, who posted 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in Sunday’s loss to Oklahoma City, leads the Pelicans in scoring (22.8), rebounds (6.8) and assists (4.6). The 25-year-old forward has struggled with recurring lower-body injuries throughout his career, having missed significant time in each of the past four seasons.

New Orleans (0-6) hosts Charlotte on Tuesday night as Williamson begins his latest recovery period.
