Zion Williamson scores 38 in win vs Mavs, Carlisle says ‘He’s Shaq with PG skills’

Williamson recorded his 23rd consecutive game with at least 20 points.

Zion Williamson ended the game against the Dallas Mavericks with 38 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assist, shooting 13/20 from the field and 12/18 from the foul line.

After the loss, Mavs coach Rick Carlisle talked about the former Duke’s potential and talent:

“He’s an unusual force and obviously a great player…We’ll have to figure something a little better out next time, but he’s doing this to everybody. We did have some very good possessions guarding him, but he was a beast.

“It presents huge challenges for the defense and for officials. He is just creating collisions out there. This is a Shaquille O’Neal-type force of nature with a point guard skill set.”
