Ziaire Williams and Bronny James will be teammates again, this time with the Los Angeles Lakers. The two first met at Sierra Canyon School and, after sharing their high school years, have remained close friends.
Williams joins the Lakers after spending the previous seasons with the Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets. Selected 10th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft, he has played four seasons in the league, appearing in 196 games.
The reunion with Bronny is therefore a special one for Williams, who has followed his friend’s development closely on his path to the NBA.
“Shoutout Bronny, that was my freshman right there. It’s going to be fun playing with Bronny again. We grew a lot together at Sierra Canyon, and we’ve been friends ever since. It’s been cool to see him make it to the big leagues and keep progressing and getting better. I’m excited to be back on his team again.”
