Zenit St Petersburg rallied from a double-digit second-half deficit to down ALBA Berlin 87-71 at Sibur Arena on Tuesday.
Zenit improved to 16-10 in the standings while ALBA dropped to 9-18. Kevin Pangos led the winners with 19 points, Will Thomas added 15, Mateusz Ponitka 14, Austin Hollins 13 and Alex Poythress scored 11 for Zenit. Luke Sikma paced ALBA with 18 points, Simone Fontechio netted 12, Ben Lammers 11 and Maodo Lo 10 for the visitors, who led 43-48 at halftime and extended their margin to 53-64 late in the third quarter. Poythress and Billy Baron helped Zenit take a 68-67 lead after 30 minutes.
Austin Hollins scored 8 points in a 10-0 run that sealed the outcome, 82-69, as ALBA never recovered.
