The current disagreement between Zalgiris Kaunas and Austrian coach Martin Schiller will go to the Basketball Arbitral Tribunal’s court, as reported by Basketnews and confimed by Zalgiris’ GM Paulius Motiejunas in the the introductory press conference of the new coach Kazys Maksvytis.
According to Basketnews, Zalgiris were ready to pay 80% of Schiller’s total pay for the 2021-2022 season, but the Austrian coach stood his ground and required his entire salary to be fully paid. “Martin sued us in BAT, and we’re going to decide everything there. I don’t know if he’s still in Kaunas or not”, Motiejunas said.
