Zalgiris Kaunas guard Nigel Williams-Goss will be sidelined for approximately the next two weeks.
The guard sustained the injury late in Zalgiris’ EuroLeague regular-season opener against Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade. The Kaunas club secured an 83-77 road victory.
Following the team’s return to Kaunas on Friday, medical examinations confirmed a hamstring injury. As a result, Williams-Goss will be sidelined for around two weeks, while his condition will continue to be monitored by the club’s medical staff.
In his first EuroLeague appearance of the season, Williams-Goss recorded 14 points, 6 assists in 25 minutes on the floor, playing a significant role in Zalgiris’ opening-round victory.
Further updates regarding the player’s return to action will be provided based on the progress of his recovery.
At the same time, the team is also awaiting the return of the recovering Saben Lee. The guard suffered an injury during a preseason game on September 6 and is expected to rejoin the squad in the near future, although his condition continues to be evaluated on a day-to-day basis.
