Zalgiris deepens Khimki’s nightmarish season with unreal 2nd half rout

Zalgiris made it 6 win in a row with 102-75 rolling win

An unreal game at Zalgirio Arena results in Zalgiris Kaunas’ 6th consecutive Euroleague win and Khimki Moscow’s 9th loss in a row (and 16th overall for the season), but the mere result does not give justice to what happened in Lithuania.

A good effort by the visitors resulted in a double-digit lead late in the 2nd quarter for Khimki (+11 with 50″ to go in the first half), before a real storm by Zalgiris, who scored 39 points in the 3rd (with a 24-2 run), 63 in the 2nd half (to Khimki’s 27) and can celebrate an historical performance by Joffrey Lauvergne (29 points, 9 rebounds on a 13/14 shooting night). Grigonis added 18 with 8 assists, while Shved had 22 and 9 assists (6/18 FG) for Khimki.
