Lithuanian side has signed Italian big man who recently parted ways with Anadolu Efes
Zalgiris Kaunas strengthened its roster with the second newcomer in two days. The 31-old forward Achille Polonara is joining the club with a deal that will keep him in Zalgiris until the end of the season.
The 203 cm tall Italian is making a move to Kaunas from Anadolu Efes Istanbul, where another Zalgiris’ addition Isaiah Taylor also has played this season.
EuroLeague champions were using Polonara for 11 minutes per game, while he averaged 2,9 points and 2.2 rebounds.
The two sides have stated on several occasions that a single league would be the best solution for European basketball
