Bad news for the Memphis Grizzlies: according to ESPN and reported by Shams Charania, Zach Edey suffered a re-sprain of his left ankle during an individual offseason workout and will undergo surgery to re-stabilize the joint.
The 2025 NBA All-Rookie Team member is expected to miss the beginning of the 2025-26 NBA season.
His agent Mark Bartelstein told ESPN: “After consulting with the Grizzlies and multiple specialists, we decided this is the best approach for Zach long-term. He will make a full recovery and come back better than ever.”
