Yam Madar is leaving Hapoel Tel Aviv. The Israeli club officially confirmed that the guard informed them of his decision to trigger the exit clause in his contract.
According to the club’s statement, Hapoel made a major effort to keep him, offering a new five-year deal with financial terms described as unprecedented for an Israeli player and very high even by EuroLeague standards.
Madar, a former Partizan guard, also has a multimillion offer from Maccabi Tel Aviv and the option of moving to the United States to play college basketball. Hapoel stressed that his departure will not change the club’s ambitions.
