According to BasketNews, South Sudanese forward Wenyen Gabriel, 28, is close to an agreement with Bayern Munich after his first season in the Euroleague, split between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Panathinaikos.
Gabriel has convinced the Bavarians with solid performances, particularly at SAP Garden, and will be the replacement for Devin Booker, who is leaving for Olimpia Milano.
He averaged 6.0 points on 69.3% shooting from two, as well as 3.6 rebounds (1.8 offensive) and 6.8 PIR in 17 minutes per game in the EuroLeague.
Wenyen Gabriel is set to exit Panathinaikos and is nearing an agreement with Bayern Munich, per sources.
