The Phoenix Suns beat the Golden State Warriors 119-116, and here is Draymond Green’s new madness.

The third quarter of the match was in fact marked by Green’s ejection, the 18th time in his career, the highest figure among active NBA players.

Green and Nurkic were competing for position when the two tangled. The Warriors’ wing appeared to lose his balance slightly before turning and hitting Nurkic directly in the face.

Nurkic immediately fell to the ground but eventually got up and stayed in the game. The referees reviewed the play before calling a flagrant 2 a Green, or automatic ejection.

“It had nothing to do with basketball,” Nurkic said. “I’m just trying to play basketball.”

It has been less than a month since Green was suspended for five games by the NBA for grabbing Minnesota’s Rudy Gobert by the throat during an altercation.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he didn’t see the replay and therefore wouldn’t comment on the ejection, but admitted how losing Green was a big blow.

“Big turnaround,” Kerr said. “We felt good having him as a five, opening up the field. Obviously, that changed our structure.”
