HEAD COACH ALEX MUMBRÚ’S COMMENTS AHEAD OF THE GAME:

“We know Zalgiris will come here looking to win. They are a high-level team, with Valanciunas being one of the most important players in the EuroLeague. The team has great faith in him, in his abilities and in his low-post game, so we will have to be ready to defend against him, but also against the rest of the team. We know it will certainly be a tough game. Historically, apart from one game last season, Virtus have always lost against Zalgiris. We will do our best to put in a high-level performance, counting also on the support of our fans.”

KEVIN KOKILA ON THE GAME AGAINST ZALGIRIS:

“There are many things we will have to do well tomorrow night against Zalgiris, because we are facing a team with many strong and talented players, such as Carsen Edwards, Valanciunas and Tubelis, just to name a few. Our goal will be to take the court with discipline from start to finish, because we are a team that, as the game against Milano showed, can also come back from a negative run. Our objective tomorrow must therefore be to play in an organised way and execute what we have agreed to do.”
