Virtus Bologna are reportedly monitoring Swedish forward Bobi Klintman, a 23-year-old second-round pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, according to BasketNews.
Klintman has spent the past two seasons within the Detroit Pistons organization, mainly playing for their G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise, while appearing sparingly in the NBA, totaling just over 100 minutes.
In the G League this season, he posted strong all-around numbers: 13 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game in 26 minutes, shooting 47% from the field, 38% from three-point range, and 73% from the free-throw line.
Despite his youth, Klintman already has a little of international experience across NCAA, NBL, and G League, though he is still considered a developmental prospect who has yet to fully translate his potential at the highest level.
While he remains open to exploring NBA opportunities, his market there may be limited, making a move to Europe a realistic alternative. A potential role at Virtus Bologna could offer him a stable environment to complete the difficult leap from promising prospect to reliable player.
