Virtus Bologna reportedly close to sign 3 players

The club could announce over the weekend the signings of Clyburn, Tucker and Morgan

Segafredo Virtus Bologna is working on three major signings.

So many names are in the mix, let’s start with the most important- in terms of status but also salary-, experienced forward Will Clyburn.

La Gazzetta dello Sport speaks of a two-year contract close to signing, while for La Prealpina there would be an agreement in principle between the parties for around $1.5 million.

For the backcourt, with the probable exit of Dobric, the Italian team should add a point guard and a swingman.

La Gazzetta lists the names of Xavier Moon and Matt Morgan for the point guard position, while La Prealpina talks about a major offer for former Venice player Rayvon Tucker.

The Resto del Carlino speculates that the club will announce over the weekend the signings of Clyburn, Tucker and Morgan, in addition to the already known ones of Akele, Visconti and Grazulis.

We close by pointing out Matt Morgan’s outstanding ballistic performance last night at the Las Vegas Summer League: 36 points in 22 minutes shooting 11/11 from the field and 7/9 from the foul line in the Hornets’ win over the Trail Blazers.

Morgan spent last season with the London Lions, where he produced averages of 17.2 points and 3.6 assists per game between the English league (45 percent from three) and Eurocup (36 percent).
