Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna S.p.A. announces it has reached a multi-year agreement with Karim Jallow.
Karim Jallow’s first declarations as a new player: “Happy and proud to join a prestigious club like Virtus for next season. It’s a club that I think I can say has the best fans in Italy and among the best in the Euroleague: that’s also why I can’t wait to start and take the court. Forza Virtus!”
Statements from Virtus General Manager Paolo Ronci: “Karim brings physicality and athleticism to the wing role and can play multiple roles, both offensively and defensively. Coming back from an intense season with Ulm, which ended with the Scudetto final against Bayern Munich, he showed great determination in wanting to face the Euroleague with Virtus Bologna and coming to fight to defend the title of the Italian Champions.”
A 198cm wing, Jallow started his career at Bayern Munich and until last season he always played in Germany, where in the last four years he wore the Ulm jersey, also winning a national title in 2023. With the German “Orange” he finished last season with an average of almost 12 points (14 in the playoffs), topped off by an average of 6 rebounds per game, and was one of the mainstays of the Ulm team in the EuroCup.
