Virtus Bologna Extends Daniel Hackett through the 2026/27 season

The veteran guard, a key leader on and off the court, will enter his sixth season in black and white after agreeing to a contract extension with Virtus Bologna.

Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement with Daniel Hackett on a contract extension for the upcoming season.

Having joined the club in March 2022, Daniel Hackett is currently 13th on Virtus Bologna’s all-time appearances list, with 329 games played. The 2026/27 season will be his sixth wearing the Virtus jersey and will give him the opportunity to break into the club’s all-time top 10 while continuing to add to a trophy collection that already includes: 1 EuroCup title, 1 Italian Championship, and 2 Italian Super Cups.

A leader both in the locker room and on the court, Daniel will continue to fully embody the Virtus spirit:
