The former Duke guard had been linked to BC Roma SPQR and would be making his European debut

Virtus Bologna are reportedly close to signing Wendell Moore Jr. According to Backdoor Podcast, the Italian club is working to finalize a deal for the American guard, who had recently been considered very close to BC Roma SPQR.

Moore, born in 2001, is a 1.96-meter guard out of Duke. He was selected with the No. 26 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and has played 96 NBA games, alternating his time in the league with G League appearances.

It would be Moore’s first experience in European basketball. Virtus Bologna would add a young, athletic, NBA-developed profile to their backcourt as the club continues to complete its roster for the new season.
