During the interview given to Radio Nettuno Bologna Uno, the CEO of Virtus Bologna, Luca Baraldi, and the GM, Paolo Ronci, discussed the financial status of the club.

Baraldi: “I want to reassure the fans. There was a press conference in June where many concerns arose due to statements regarding budget reviews.”

Baraldi: “We met with EuroLeague leaders and always received messages of appreciation. We’ve made commitments and have honored them, including adhering to the Financial Fair Play regulations. To say that Zanetti is divesting, or that Zanetti no longer wants to be involved… these are all nonsense. They are malicious statements. Zanetti is at the helm of this company in terms of shares and has managed to attract a new partner like Gherardi; all enthusiasts should be proud of it.”

Baraldi: “We had our position in EuroLeague; Valencia was the one at risk. Valencia belongs to the Mercadona brothers, who are four times the size of Esselunga, with revenues of 30 million euros… The work of this company has been recognized for its integrity and solidity.”
