Victor Wembanyama delivered one of the greatest performances of his young career, leading the San Antonio Spurs to a 112-111 win over the Dallas Mavericks.
The French star finished with 52 points, 24 rebounds and eight blocks, setting career highs in points and rebounds. He already had 29 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks in the first half, becoming the first player in the NBA play-by-play era since 1996-97 to post at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks in one half.
Wembanyama also became only the second player since blocks became official in 1973-74 to record at least 50 points, 20 rebounds and five blocks in a game, joining Bob McAdoo in 1974. His eight blocks are the most ever in a 50-point game in that span.
San Antonio extended its winning streak to six games. Kyrie Irving scored 29 points for Dallas but missed a potential game-winner with three seconds left.
