Veteran guard Mantas Kalnietis announces retirement from Lithuanian national team

Kalnietis played 95 official games for Lithuania winning three medals between Eurobasket and World Cup

Zalgiris guard Mantas Kalnietis has announced his retirement from the Lithuanian national team in an interview with BasketNews: “I haven’t made this decision in one day. I had a very good time with the national team, and I never had any doubts about playing for my country. I was very lucky because my wife and children wanted me to play for the national team”.

Kalnietis played 95 games for Lithuania, debuting in the 2006 World Cup, winning two silver medals at Eurobasket and a bronze medal in the World Cup. He last played for the NT last July.
