Vassilis Spanoulis did not hide his frustration after Greece’s home loss to Portugal in the sixth game of the first round of the FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers.
The Greek national team head coach made only a statement and did not take questions. “We were completely unprepared in this window, we all have responsibility,” Spanoulis told ERT1.
Spanoulis added that the team must think about what it represents, saying the approach looked as if they had come “on vacation.” Greece will now move to the second round, where they will face Spain, Ukraine and Georgia.
