Vasilije Micić: Injury? I honestly have no idea

Vasilije Micić returned to the court and showed he’s ready for EuroBasket 2025, scoring six points (2/3 from beyond the arc) in Serbia’s dominant win over Slovenia. While fans hope he’s on the final roster for Riga, Micić kept things light when asked about his fitness: “How much do I need to be at 100%? I need 99%,” he joked. “Honestly, I have no idea what the injury is. It’ll pass. This machine just needs to keep running.”

Grateful to be part of the team again, Micić added: “Even one minute on the court means a lot. It’s an honor to be here. I feel more excited every year.” Reflecting on the 106–72 win in Belgrade, he praised the crowd: “Beautiful atmosphere. I wish we played more often here. Hopefully we met expectations.”

Serbia’s veteran point guard also emphasized team maturity: “We’re a mature group. There are some younger guys, but our core is experienced and handles things well.”
